Holliswood Homes for Sale

The diverse Holliswood neighborhood has a large Jewish Orthodox community, with two synagogues. Holliswood is located between Grand Central Parkway and Hillside Avenue, and between Frances Lewis Boulevard and 188th Street.

This older section features primarily single-family, detached homes built in the 1920s and 1930s, with a few newer homes built on teardown sites. Much of the neighborhood is sidewalk-free, with lots that are slightly larger than the standard 40-foot by 100-foot lots, giving the area a more rural feel. Prices range from $700,000 up to $2 million for larger, newer homes.

The 358-acre Cunningham Park, with its variety of athletic facilities and recreational programs, is within walking distance. Shopping is available along Hillside Avenue. The neighborhood is served by both Community School Districts 26 and 29. Buses are available from 188th Street and Hillside Avenue.
